BrightSpeak (“the App”) is developed by Karl Roe (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles user information. BrightSpeak is a communication and learning tool designed for children and families. We do not collect, store, or share personal data except as described below.
The App allows users to save words, phrases, people, feelings, and food items. Users may also attach images using the device’s camera or photo library. All information is stored locally on the device using local app storage.
The App requests access to the device's camera (android.permission.CAMERA) solely so users can take photos for custom flashcards. Images are stored locally and never uploaded.
The App stores custom words, images, and settings on the device only. The App does not access or upload any other files.
The App uses Text-to-Speech (TTS) technology to speak words aloud. No audio recordings are captured, stored, or transmitted.
We do not collect or share:
BrightSpeak is designed to be child-safe. All data stays on the user’s device. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
We do not share any user data with third parties, advertisers, analytics companies, or remote servers. Nothing leaves the device.

Since no data is transmitted or stored externally, security relies on the user's device. Users can delete all app data by uninstalling the app.
